Responsible for all planning and logistics related to conferences, including workshops, committee meetings, special events, exhibit hall and housing.
Manage the workflow of the Conference Planning Committee. Ensure the committee is clear on deadlines and responsibilities.
Use Map Your Show content management system to manage workshops, speakers, and scheduling.
Negotiate and prepare all contracts including, but not limited to, hotels, convention center, catering, lead retrieval, and service contractors for approval.
Work closely with hotel and convention center event managers, the Convention & Visitors Bureau, vendors, and local host agency.
Coordinates site visits and provides an analysis of potential future conference locations.
Supervises the Sales and Marketing Manager.
At least 3 years relevant work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in the hospitality or meeting planning industry preferred by not required.
Must have a highly collaborative workstyle.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
