Summary of Position
The Senior Director of Education will oversee the planning and implementation of online and in-person education. This role is responsible for the administration, evaluation, and improvement of educational programs in all learning formats. The Senior Director of Education will collaborate with various departments to meet strategic objectives and ensure the delivery of high-quality educational content.
Based on the duties described below, this is a full-time, exempt, fully remote position. This position reports to the Vice President, Education Operations.

Nature and Scope
The Senior Director of Education provides strategic leadership for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various departments to deliver high-quality educational content, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with ACCME requirements. Reporting to the VP, Education Operations, the Senior Director of Education must possess strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills, and build relationships with key stakeholders to support the organization's educational goals.
Principal Accountabilities
Collaborate to ensure education is developed within established organizational standards.
Oversee the administration and evaluation of educational programs.
Collaborate with committees, members, and staff to identify educational needs, learning objectives, target audiences, teaching methods, and outcomes.
Provide leadership, strategic vision, and direction to the education team for identified projects.
Manage the budget for educational programs and ensure on-time delivery of projects.
Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote educational offerings.
Ensure compliance with ACCME requirements for educational activities.
Support organizational priorities with flexibility and adaptability.
Essential Functions
Proven experience in educational program management.
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of ACCME requirements and educational best practices.
Advanced degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in educational program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Experience with e-learning platforms and digital education tools.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications
5+ years’ experience professional association environment.
Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in education.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2). (Preferred)
Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans for educational programs.
Strong understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies.
Ability to innovate and adapt to changing educational needs and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and external partners.
General Skills – Excellent analytical, creative, organizational, and customer service skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a customer focused, team-oriented environment; outstanding written and verbal skills; creative and strategic thinker with a strong intellect and proactive style.
Technical Skills – Strong technology skills and working knowledge of Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Office applications, proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Survey Monkey, Google Docs.
Required: Must be able to travel 7-10 days per year.
