The Membership Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's individual and corporate membership strategies, attracting new members, retaining existing memberships, managing member data, developing engagement initiatives, and analyzing membership trends to ensure the association maintains a healthy and active member base. This role typically involves creating and executing campaigns to attract new members, engage existing members, manage member benefits, and provide excellent customer service to the membership community.

Supervisory Responsibility: Directly oversees the database manager and indirectly oversees the contract data entry specialist
Work Location: 100% Remote
Roles and Responsibilities:
Membership Acquisition
Collaborate with the marketing and communications manager and the business development team to develop and implement strategies to attract new members through outreach campaigns, marketing materials, and networking at events
Collaborate with the marketing and communications manager to create, maintain, and distribute membership-related communications through various channels like email, website, and social media
Membership Retention and Engagement
Create and manage programs and activities to keep members actively involved in the association
Collaborate with the accounts receivable specialist and the office manager to oversee the membership renewal process, including sending reminders and addressing member concerns
Respond to member inquiries, resolve issues, and provide support regarding membership benefits
Maintain quality relationships with key corporate membership contacts
Manage distribution of key corporate membership benefits such as the virtual and face-to-face Ask Me Anything engagements with the organization’s subject matter experts
Membership Administration
Manage other membership related administrative tasks associated with membership services and billing, as needed
Membership Data Management and Reporting
Collaborate with the database manager to maintain accurate member data including contact information, demographics, and membership status within the organization’s association management system
Collaborate with key corporate membership contacts to ensure membership rosters and data are updated consistently
Track key membership metrics like acquisition rates, retention rates, and member engagement levels to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
Coordinate with the technology manager to develop and maintain business intelligence tools and dashboards to track membership engagement and drive membership growth

Experience Required: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in account management, billing, and B2B client relationship management. Association management experience is preferred.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. Directly related work experience may be substituted for the formal education requirement if applicable.
