The Membership Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of Civica Management’s nonprofit association clients. Key Responsibilities
- Membership Growth: Collaborate with leadership and committees to set and achieve annual recruiting, engagement, and retention goals. Provide insights into best practices to support membership strategies.
- Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact for members and prospective members, addressing inquiries through email, phone, ZenDesk, or in-person.
- Database Management: Maintain and update membership records, ensuring data accuracy through regular audits and system processes.
- Website Management: Update content, membership information, and event details in collaboration with the Executive Director and volunteer leaders.
- Reporting & Analytics: Prepare membership reports, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to drive improvements.
- Event Coordination: Organize meetings, webinars, and educational events, including logistics, communication with speakers, and technical setup.
- Volunteer Support: Manage elections, onboard new leaders, and assist with non-elected volunteer recruitment as directed.
- Program Administration: Support programs like awards, scholarships, certifications, and surveys, tailoring your role to the specific needs of each client.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in customer service or administrative roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and online tools like MemberClicks, WordPress, and MailChimp.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exemplary service.
- Experience in associations or membership organizations is a significant advantage.
