AASLD, an association for scientists and healthcare providers in the field of liver disease, seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Administration team.
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will manage and oversee daily accounting activities, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
About the Role:
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will manage and oversee daily accounting activities, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position ensures the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and supports accounting and financial reporting functions for both AASLD and the AASLD Foundation. The Senior Staff Accountant contributes to the organization’s growth and mission by optimizing financial assets and ensuring sound financial management practices. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, at least 3-6 years of experience, strong knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency in accounting software and analytical skills. This position requires a proactive nonprofit professional with a commitment to excellence and strong interpersonal skills.
AASLD headquarters is in Alexandria, VA. This position is currently remote. AASLD offers a competitive benefits package, including a 35-hour workweek, generous vacation/holiday leave, and retirement contribution.
