Summary: DSA seeks a Membership Manager with a proven track record of capturing new member sales and annual renewals in a high-dues membership environment - corporate dues can be 6 figures. Must be able to learn and understand the industry and develop relationships with high-level corporate executives. Engage in person-to-person membership sales and renewal calls, emails, mailings, and meetings. Professional demeanor and dress. Possible travel required up to twice a month, 2 - 4 days at a time. Responsible for custom database and tracking dues and pledges paid and outstanding.
Details: Membership Development
Initiates and pursues regular membership development efforts; conceptualizes and oversees production of recruiting materials.
Conducts regular membership sales programs, including the latest high tech/high touch methods.
Maintains regular contact with prospective members, including personal phone calls and meetings with key executives to explain DSA’s programs, services and the benefits of membership.
Travels to prospective member offices to conduct sales calls.
Coordinates President’s member and prospect visits.
Attends DSA meetings as assigned in order to convert non-members to applicants.
Researches and identifies possible candidates for membership, introduces them to DSA and follows up personally to encourage membership.
Identifies and recommends opportunities to expand DSA’s membership base, consistent with the organization’s overall mission.
Responsible for oversight of DSA’s Matrix MAXX membership database
Ensures that the DSA prospective member database remains viable.
Member Services
Is well versed in DSA’s members-only services to provide prospective members with a clear and compelling reason to join. Evaluates members’ opinions of and reactions to DSA’s existing services and recommends adjustments to programs as indicated.
As part of the membership department, responds promptly to members’ inquiries and requests for assistance/service/information.
