Functions: Serve as main point of contact for the Society and provide superior customer service to members, event attendees, and all who are interested in the field of I-O psychology. Facilitate member and event attendee transactions, assist with preparations for events, and monitor member data quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond daily to general inquiries received via phone and email
Assist members and customers with dues, registrations, YM Career job postings, and other payments
Monitor YM Career job postings monthly to make sure listings are accurate and relevant
Process incoming applications for membership, in collaboration with the Membership Committee
Ensure the quality and completeness of information within the member database and update as needed
Prepare lists and information for ongoing initiatives, such as Membership Milestones and Sterling Circle
Serve as liaison to the APA Division Office, submitting required reports, monitoring the Division 14 webpage, and updating records of Division 14 members in the database
Support event planning and implementation, including responding to inquiries and preparing materials
Coordinate the committee volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment, the SIOP Volunteer System (SVS), SIOP Commons, etc.
Additional duties and projects assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a customer service role or similar
Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and experience working within an AMS/CMS system
Strong time management, project management, organizational, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
Some travel required (2-3 times/year)
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, speak, listen, read, and communicate using such tools as email, phone, video conferencing, digital platforms, printed documents, and other standard office equipment. Occasionally required to stand, walk, kneel, and carry up to 30 pounds. When working onsite at a meeting or event, this position is very active, requiring extensive movement such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, moving materials, kneeling, and speaking for up to 16 hours per day.
