Position Overview:
The Membership Engagement Manager plays a vital role in driving SGIM’s member engagement strategy, working closely with the Director of Member and Employee Relations. This position is responsible for developing innovative engagement strategies that foster membership growth, retention, and progression across all membership types.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Engagement Initiatives: Identify and implement proactive member engagement strategies based on data-driven insights, fostering a vibrant and connected community.
Membership Growth and Retention: Oversee renewal processes and coordinate multi-channel membership campaigns, collaborating with marketing and social media teams to amplify reach.
Community Leadership on GIM Connect: Lead and grow SGIM’s online member community by developing engaging content, managing automation rules, and creating opportunities for member interaction.
Data-Driven Insights: Analyze and report on membership metrics by region and demographic, providing insights to inform strategic engagement efforts.
Member Program Development: Promote and support SGIM’s trainee engagement programs, such as National Young Scholars in GIM and Investing in GIM, with the goal of managing future program years.
Membership Database Management: Maintain and enhance the membership database, ensuring data integrity and optimizing its use to better understand member involvement.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate across departments to enhance engagement initiatives and develop impactful campaigns aligned with SGIM’s mission.
Membership Committee Support: Attend monthly Membership Committee calls, act on follow-up items, and contribute insights to further engagement.
Qualifications:
Relationship-Building Expertise: Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships and communicate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
Project Management and Organizational Skills: Strong skills in project prioritization, time management, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Adaptability and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to navigate evolving environments and independently lead initiatives that align with strategic goals.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, data analysis).
Innovative Mindset: A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to driving engagement in professional or membership-based organizations.
