New business development position reporting to the Chief Education and Global Health Officer at the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare to develop and manage the implementation of strategic solutions to grow American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) domestic and global education products, services, and programs; provide analytics necessary to implement, measure, and optimize performance and productivity strategies; and leverage internal and external partnerships to support the advancement of educational opportunities and revenue growth in alignment with the AAP mission.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline required. MBA strongly preferred.
At least six years’ related experience managing new business development initiatives in health-related field required, including some experience with global markets and education products.
Experience with budget management, facilitating collaboration and building consensus among various partners, and knowledge of medical education landscape and global health care environment
Demonstrated expertise in building business cases using fact-based market research, and cost/benefit analysis with a go/no go recommendation essential.
Must be able to clearly articulate complex concepts to senior executives, take initiative, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, pay close attention to detail, troubleshoot and problem solve, work both independently and as part of a team, collaborate effectively with various internal and external constituents, bridge partnerships between culturally diverse groups, and promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Must be a strategic and creative leader who displays and inspires innovation, and be mission-driven while also entrepreneurial, creative, and focused on revenue growth.
Fluency in foreign language(s) highly desired.
Strong technical acumen essential with proficiency in MS Office products and SalesForce and the ability to learn and apply new technologies to advance work priorities; experience with virtual meeting platforms (eg, WebEx, Teams, document collaboration platforms (eg, SharePoint), and budgeting software (eg, Acumatica) preferred.
Travel (domestic and international) and evening/weekend work required, as well as the ability to be flexible with work schedule to accommodate physicians’ availability.
