This is a "hybrid" position. The selected candidate will work three days per week in our Arlington, VA office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Are you a results-driven event marketer looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dynamic Event Marketing Manager to join our team to help us bring to life the multifaceted range of events and conferences NACD proudly offers. NACD events convene corporate governance thought leaders, industry experts, and business professionals for learning, networking, and growth opportunities.
The Event Marketing, Program Manager will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing integrated marketing campaigns to increase registration, engagement, and drive revenue for our marquee annual conference, NACD Directors Summit™, and other NACD event offerings (virtual and in-person). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop marketing strategies that increase awareness, drive event attendance, and maximize the impact of the NACD event portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Marketing & Campaign Management
Develops, plans, and executes marketing acquisition campaigns that meet or exceed NACD’s attendance and revenue goals for the annual NACD Directors Summit and other key NACD events.
Strategic mindset and adept at creating multi-channel digital marketing campaigns that drive event registrations, build brand awareness, and foster member engagement.
Content Development
Collaborates with content teams and designers to produce compelling, targeted content for digital channels, such as landing pages, email copy, social media content, and other event advertisements.
Collaborates with stakeholders to define target audiences and craft tailored messaging.
Establishes integrated messaging across all segments, channels, and media, including but not limited to email, direct mail, print, website, social media, video, and paid media.
Reporting & Analysis
Monitors and reports on event campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations to enhance strategies.
Proactively identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance the attendee experience, elevate NACD content in the marketplace, and increase demand for NACD events and educational offerings.
Efficiently plans and manages the annual conference marketing budget, with a strong focus on ROI and a keen eye on expenses.
Event Branding & Attendee Experience
Works collaboratively with the NACD Content department and outside vendors to manage the design and production of deliverables, including event branding, pre-and post-event communications to attendees, and the creation of on-site materials.
Travels to and attends events as needed; engages with our members, partners, and Chapter Network teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience), as well as a minimum of five years of marketing or other relevant communications experience. Must have experience with creative design agencies, whether in-house or third-party, and a firm understanding of the conceptual and creative phase of an event marketing campaign. Excellent project management skills, writing and communication skills, strategic thinking, an eye towards quality-control, exemplary interpersonal skills, and strong leadership combined with a collaborative work ethic are required. Needs to be highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities at once within a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

NACD employees are required to be fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus by their first day of employment. An employee is “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receiving their second dose of a two-dose vaccination series or two weeks after the first shot of a single-dose vaccine (or as described by the vaccine manufacturer).
The salary/hourly range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 plus bonus potential. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
