The position is charged with managing part of the ARP committee portfolio, including ad hoc work group and task forces as assigned. This includes serving as staff liaison, supporting the assigned committees in realizing their Programs of Work to expand ARP programs targeted at rheumatology’s interprofessional disciplines. This position will lead content development of ARP’s online education portfolio, including a working knowledge of ARP’s preferred educational technology platform. This position is responsible for developing and adhering to committee and project budgets and ensuring alignment of all committee activities with the ARP and the College’s strategic priorities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
At direction of the Executive Director, and with support from the Coordinator, ARP, provide guidance, consultation, and support to committees and subcommittees to successfully initiate, implement, and complete projects, as assigned for groups such as:
ARP standing subcommittees: Interprofessional Practice & Management & eLearning
Work groups and task forces, as assigned
Oversee committee activities and programs, including fiscal oversight of the committee and/or project budget and planning, including income and expenses.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and identify resources needed to accomplish the work set forth by the committees
Apply adult education best practices to the development of online education products, in coordination with committee(s) and staff across multiple departments
Edit existing online education products using the Articulate platform
Support ARP officers, ARP ED, and designated task force members (volunteer and staff) in the ACR strategic planning exercises every 3-5 years to set organizational goals and define strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Manage sound fiscal oversight of products and services, including budgeting, produce pricing, sponsorship/grant revenues for products attributable to the ARP budget.
Manage the ARP relationship with third party online education development vendor(s), ensuring the ARP’s needs are met and all contracted work is completed to ARP satisfaction
Supports committee(s) by providing data, analytics, reports, and completing minutes in a timely manner to facilitate decision making and interactions with other organizational leaders and committees
Attend all committee meetings; take an active role in developing the agenda with the Committee Chair, and creation of appropriate meeting materials
Review and revise each committee Program of Work annually in coordination with the committee chair, ARP President-Elect, and Executive Director, ARP
Ensure cohesion between committees and projects, within the ARP and the College, as appropriate.
Staff liaison to ad hoc ARP work groups and task forces, as assigned by the ARP Executive Director.
Any other duties as assigned by the ARP Executive Director, VP, Membership Experience & Governance, or the ACR Executive Vice President.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/ BS plus five (5) years’ experience in managing committee and project work, or MS/MA/MBA/JD plus three (3) years’ experience in a related field, or more than eight (8) years’ experience with no post-secondary degree.
Experience developing adult online education and working with related technology preferred
Excellent project management skills, with proven track record for completing projects on time and on budget.
Creative problem-solving skills, ability to bring consensus.

Experience with virtual meeting software applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or similar is a plus.
Extensive professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Online Databases, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word is required. Web browsing proficiency is also required.
Familiarity with project management software such Asana, Inc and with finance/ accounting software such Adaptive, is a plus.
Supervisor experience is preferred.
