Job Overview
The SGO currently has an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with superior communication and relationship management skills with a focus on details and driven by a desire to achieve results to join the team as the Industry Relations Specialist. We are looking for an individual to bring their passion and excitement to our fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The successful incumbent will see the big picture and embrace change to ensure they meet their goals and the goals of the SGO and FWC.
The Industry Relations Specialist position requires organization, multi-tasking, strong attention to detail, customer service, and an aptitude for technology. Responsibilities include providing exceptional communication and service to SGO industry partners, updating and maintaining database systems with accuracy, and the ability and initiative to meet established goals. Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Industry Relations, the Coordinator of Industry Relations will personify the SGO internal values of Service Excellence, Respect, Accountability and Quality.
What You Will Do
The Industry Relations Specialist is responsible for developing assets for industry support of SGO programs. This includes communicating with industry partners; managing invoicing, tracking, and reporting of partnership development efforts via exhibit management software; supporting lead generation efforts; ensuring fulfillment of sponsor collateral; and serving as the customer service lead for exhibit and sponsorship inquiries and troubleshooting. This position is also accountable for development data management using SGO technology solutions, including metrics and reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience. The hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, and short- and long-term disability benefits; vacation time, sick time, 11 named holidays and 3 floating holidays, and parental leave.

Requirements for Success
CRM database user experience. Salesforce experience preferred.
Exhibit management user experience. SB Expo experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including MSWord, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
In addition, the Industry Relations Specialist will be successful through collaboration with internal and external partnership; demonstrate influence through exceptional communication skills; leverage relationships to achieve business objectives; and manage/use data to measure success.
The work of the SGO is conducted primarily in a remote office environment with occasional requirements to be onsite for group meetings and events. Travel is required approximately 5-10 days per year.
