The ESOP Association (TEA) is the leading national trade and professional association representing employee-owned companies and the professionals who provide services to those companies (such as attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, trustees). The ESOP Association is headquartered in Washington, DC.
The Audio, Video and Digital Media Content Manager will work with each department within The ESOP Association and the Employee Ownership Foundation to provide audio visual, graphic design, video, and photography support. This person will develop, edit, and distribute through association channels video, audio, graphic design, digital and photography content based on requirements and deadlines.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who has the knowledge and capabilities of using and maintaining production and design equipment. This individual must be a self-starter who is approachable and able to cultivate relationships with colleagues to understand their needs and goals.
The Audio, Video and Digital Media Content Manager must be a person who acts consistent with the values of TEA as expressed through the Association’s vision, mission, and culture. The Manager is an approachable individual with excellent communication skills, is diligent and accurate with their work, can adhere to deadlines and has strong project management skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Audio/Video Production
Works with the Senior Director, Graphic and Visual Communications to plan, schedule, and produce a new weekly podcast series featuring the Association’s President & CEO, guests, and other content related to ESOPs and employee ownership
Assists in the management and operation of the Association’s in-house video/audio production studio and edit suite to develop educational and marketing content
Works with the head of each department/program to develop short videos, podcasts for educational or promotional purposes
Develops a schedule from draft/story board to final product based on deadlines, priorities, and other projects
Collects information needed to provide a finalized product and ensures it is accurately presented in finished work products
Understands file requirements based on need for web, social media, or distribution
Works with external AV teams for national conferences to collect and store media
Has knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for producing video/motion designs
Has basic knowledge of camera, microphones, and lighting to collect high quality video and audio
Works to ensure spelling and grammar of any text within videos is corrected before finalizing
Ensures all files are labeled, organized, and distributed
Website
Regularly updates routine content on the websites maintained by TEA and EOF including: Oxford Employee Ownership Symposium, and ESOPATHON websites
Has basic knowledge of working with website management systems, basic coding and Drupal experience is a plus
Works with Website consultants for various sites on more complex updates or changes
Maintenance of website
More detailed needs and requests made by staff for the website
Attends website meetings as requested by supervisor and consultants
Works with the Director of Fundraising to regularly update and maintain the ESOPATHON fundraising website during annual fundraising drive (month of October)
Collects Google analytic data for review and shares with leadership
Other Production Content Support
Audio/Video Production
Occasionally provides microphone, speaker, and PowerPoint/video presentation support within HQ/DC based events
Manages speakers, microphones, mixers, cables, and any other AV equipment owned by TEA
Keeps in-house studio and equipment organized and readily useable
Photography
Assists with photography at TEA and EOF events/programs
Works with other staff members to collect and store photos from events around the country
Has knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for editing photos
Manages and posts photos to the TEA Flickr account
Selects and edits photos that encapsulate current events/program in a timely manner for posting to social media
Has knowledge of camera, lenses, and other photography equipment
Ensures all files are labeled, organized, and easily retrievable by other staff members

Qualifications/Experience
All-around video, audio and graphic design “utility player” who knows enough to get the basics done and is willing to dive in and learn whatever else may be needed
Bachelor's degree in film and video production, graphic design, photography, visual arts, audio video media production, telecommunications, or related field
Interest in developing brand photography and videography skills
Experience in shooting people-focused and environmental focused photography and videography
Proficiency in video and photo editing software (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
Strong understanding of social media platforms and content trends
Work Environment/Conditions:
Only local candidates who are comfortable commuting to our office will be considered. Our office is located in Washington, DC between Union Station and Chinatown metros.
