The Membership & Marketing Manager plays a critical role within our organization, focusing primarily on membership and marketing efforts. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of the organization’s membership and marketing activities.

This hybrid position reports directly to the Executive Director. The organization operates a virtual office; however, candidates must be able to commute as necessary to our mail center and storage unit, both located in Fairfax County, VA.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Management:
Oversee all stages of the membership lifecycle, from recruitment to retention.
Regularly communicate with members, sponsors, and other key stakeholders, including responding to email and telephone queries.
Marketing Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement e-marketing campaigns to promote association events, attract new members and retain existing ones.
Draft and review marketing messages and other publications for accuracy and relevance.
Update and maintain association website and social media platforms.
Event Management:
Support the planning and execution of both virtual and in-person events, requiring occasional travel.
Create program brochures and design event program.
Manage association’s CLE program.
Database and IT Management:
Overall management of IT functions including oversight of multiple platforms, vendor management, and project management.
Maintain membership database (experience with iMIS database platform a plus).
Required Skills and Experience
Experience: 4-8 years in a membership or marketing role, preferably in associations or legal environments. Project Management: Strong multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Communication: Excellent writing skills and ability to convey information clearly. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite is preferred but not mandatory). Marketing Tools: Experience with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics software.
