The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) Specialist – Education will have at least 2-3 years of experience administering and supporting educational programs. The right candidate will be flexible, adaptable, responsive, have excellent time management skills, good judgement in setting priorities, and the ability to multi-task across competing assignments.

About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Education, the Specialist will support a variety of education and education-related activities including Learning Management System (LMS) content administration, ACCME activity reporting and maintenance, website content management, ASCRS Committee administration, and education-related customer service.
The Specialist must have a working knowledge of continuing medical education (CME) for healthcare organizations including ACCME accreditation. They will need to be extremely well organized, a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and possess the initiative to identify problems and quickly develop solutions that focus on results.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service via phone and email to internal and external customers.
Content and Learning Management System Administration
Work with content experts to plan and create educational content for ASCRS Members. This may include virtual activities, live activities, and online publications.
Provide support for new and ongoing educational programming and initiatives.
Manage registration set up, website pages, and LMS content related to educational activities
Speaker management
Writing, editing and posting written and video content to LMS.
Maintenance of CME and non-CME content.
Committee/Task Force/Special Interest Group (SIG) Administration
Schedule and prepare materials for assigned committees/task forces/SIGs.
Provide appropriate level of support (administrative assistance, project management, etc.) to chairs and members as needed.
ACCME Accreditation Support
Create and maintain web content to ensure accreditation requirements are met.
Create reports as needed.
Manage Activities in PARS to include ensuring all needs are met for annual reporting to ACCME.
Respond to requests from members related to credits earned in previous years.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and at least 2-3 years of education support experience preferably in a medical or health care organization.
Experience planning or supporting educational programming offered for CME and/or experience planning or supporting educational programming at an ACCME-accredited organization.
Advanced knowledge of Office 365/Microsoft Office products particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Intermediate to advanced experience with Zoom Webinars or other equivalent webinar platform, SurveyMonkey, iMIS or other AMS, and Microsoft Teams.
Experience with Adobe Pro, Learning Management Systems and/or Digital Publishing platforms, project management software, video editing, Vimeo or other video hosting site, Kentico or other web content management system.
Experience working remotely, within a small team environment wearing multiple hats.
Strong written communication skills.
Creative and innovative with the ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. You have a proactive and positive approach to process improvement.
Strong collaboration skills across all levels. You possess leadership qualities including empathy and accountability, and you can form strong relationships with colleagues, members, and external stakeholders.
Ability to address/resolve member issues quickly, using a clear, thoughtful manner and “member first” service perspective.
Ability to travel up to 12 days a year for ASCRS meetings.
