Required Education:
4 Year Degree
The Director of Professional Development will provide staff leadership to volunteer team members in the development of educational programs, including face-to-face conferences and online courses. They will be responsible for creating an annual education schedule, conducting needs assessments, and evaluating program success by measuring registrant satisfaction and financial viability.
Working closely with the marketing and communication staff, the Director will participate in the implementation of sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
They will also manage logistics for on-site programs in collaboration with team members. This position includes supervisory responsibilities for one team member and occasional travel to AIA State and National events.
Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Training, or related business field
Experience in developing educational programs, preferably in a association setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Experience in program evaluation and financial
Willingness to travel for events and conferences (2 - 3 times a year with other staff)
