We're excited to add this new role to our team! The Nonprofit Alliance (TNPA) is a trade association that was formed in 2018 to promote, protect, and strengthen the nonprofit sector. Members of The Nonprofit Alliance are nonprofit organizations and firms that work alongside nonprofits toward a shared purpose of public engagement and mission impact.
The Manager, Programs reports to the Vice President, Programs and provides critical support in developing and implementing programming initiatives for The Nonprofit Alliance (TNPA) members and the broader nonprofit community.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the program planning and logistics for in-person and virtual events.
We contract with an event management company that handles hotel and venue contracting and management, food and beverage, and A/V. Logistics in this role include executing the program itself: materials, speaker and sponsor coordination, program collateral, run-of-show planning, communication with registrants and participants, etc.
Work with staff and volunteers to coordinate, execute, and/or otherwise support virtual programs including webinars, “coffee talks,” an annual virtual Career Day for college students, and advocacy town halls.
Help maintain program calendars and scheduling.
Track and manage sponsor benefits fulfillment.
Track program metrics, manage attendee surveys, and prepare evaluation reports.
Work with the Director, Marketing to prepare email promos, social media posts, and other event promotions to sell attendee registrations and sponsorships, and help maintain program-related content on website and other platforms.
Manage the fulfillment of event attendee welcome kits and “know before you go” communications.
TNPA Programs are poised to grow, including launching new programs in 2025. The Manager, Programs, will have the exceptional opportunity to be part of the inception of new programs and work to shape new successful pillar programs, growing into a key supporting role.
To be successful in this role, flexibility and a willingness to stretch are critical. As with all small teams, opportunities and needs arise that do not fit neatly into any one person’s role, and responsibilities will evolve as the organization grows (“other duties as assigned”).

The Nonprofit Alliance (https://tnpa.org), formed in 2018, is a quickly growing association whose mission is to protect, promote, and strengthen the philanthropic sector in the best interest of donors and beneficiaries. A majority of our members are nonprofit organizations, ranging in size from those with annual budgets of less than $500k serving their local communities to others with budgets of more than $750m and global reach. More importantly, our nonprofit members represent diverse cause areas: human services, health, religion, veterans, children, seniors, animals, conservation, and others. Our membership also includes third party businesses who partner with nonprofits to increase the scope of their impact, with specialized services including public outreach, fundraising, technology and data management, legal and regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and resource development.
