The Project Coordinator supports the organization's daily operations, the Executive Director, and the Director of Development. The incumbent is responsible for efficiently managing projects, handling administrative tasks, and providing program support that facilitates workflow between consultants and agencies and the Foundation.
Four key areas of responsibility and project management are noted below, in no particular order relative to importance. These represent four of GFF’s five strategic pillars and selected goals from the Foundation’s 2023-2026 strategic plan.
Communications
Facilitate agency team deliverables for all communications initiatives
Support opportunities for partnership with investors for the sharing and magnification of science-based, grains-positive messaging
Support mechanisms for investor feedback throughout GFF’s fiscal year
Survey investors at least twice each year about GFF’s work, creating both qualitative and quantitative measures for evaluation
Compile and present results to Executive Director in a timely manner
Other communications functions as directed by Executive Director
Research
Support annual consumer insights research project
Support nutrition science research funding initiatives
Revenue
Support Executive Director and Director of Development efforts toward new investor recruitment
Other duties supporting revenue growth as directed by Executive Director and/or Director of Development
Experts
Contract with members of Scientific Advisory Board annually
Support SAB proposals for and participation in nutrition science conferences
Support opportunities for and coordination of SAB engagement with GFF investor companies
Two or more years project management or communications or nutrition science/education experience in a non-profit, government, or corporate setting
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or food/nutrition-related field
Preferred candidate has experience in food industry, and/or food industry non-profit sphere(s)
Competency with Microsoft Office365
Willingness to learn new skills and take on a diverse set of responsibilities
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills; motivation to find answers when faced with challenges
Must value integrity, confidentiality, and professional demeanor
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to workflow management

GFF provides a comprehensive communications framework built upon a robust research program and a network of nutrition and health experts. GFF serves its members as well as several categories of health influencers: media, clinicians and researchers, and policy-makers. GFF is funded by grain foods manufacturers, flour millers, and members of the allied trades.
