The membership coordinator functions as the liaison between ASCP and its members, customers, and prospective members. This includes answering customer service queries, devising regular membership communications, maintaining membership records, and overseeing membership recruitment and retention programs and promotional programs. This is a hybrid position in the Alexandria, Virginia Office. 1-2 days per week required in the office.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following including other duties that may be assigned.
Membership Marketing, Acquisition, and Retention
· Helps plan, develop, and execute membership acquisition, win-back, retention, and renewal campaigns.
• Oversees and updates automated renewal and welcome campaigns to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Develops new Student membership program alongside Student New Practitioner Committee (Up to 4 monthly meetings).
• Develops new membership programs to increase value proposition.
• Helps create, and plan membership promotions and campaigns.
Member Services, Benefits, & Programs
• Manages dues generation and collection procedures for all members.
• Maintains, develops, and administers membership service and incentive programs, including member benefit and discount programs.
• Facilitates joint memberships with other associations and groups.
• Manages the timely invoicing of all members (digital and print, when applicable).
• Responds in a timely manner to all customer service inquiries.
• Main point of contact for ASCP’s Career Center.
Database Management & Reporting
• Resource and organization “expert” in the membership database reports.
• Responsible for membership record maintenance and database updates.
• Creates and maintains required assets in Your Membership (YM) membership software to enhance development of the association database.
• Runs membership queries and reports.
• Helps pull and evaluate monthly membership reports and analyze trends in data.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: BA/BS Degree and 2-3 years association experience with strong membership, marketing, and association management skills. Experience with ‘Your Membership (YM)’ membership software or comparable software preferred. Experience with email marketing automation is desired.
Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written skills necessary. Ability to communicate with individuals at many different levels. Strong customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and telephone skills.
Travel
Travel may be required, up to 10%. This role will represent ASCP at other partner events, conferences, meetings, etc.
