MIPI Alliance is seeking a detail-oriented Membership Administrator to provide support for MIPI Alliance's membership function in the areas of membership administration and service. This role will assist in processing membership applications, managing renewals, maintaining accurate databases, and delivering exceptional customer service to our members, prospective members, and other constituents.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
This is a remote part-time position for up to 20 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates located in New Jersey, New York, or Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. We are seeking an independent contractor; third parties will not be considered. This role will be contracted under a 12-month agreement, with possible renewal based on organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Membership Application Management & Member Onboarding:
Assist prospective members through the membership application process, including providing membership application materials, responding to questions and updating various systems for each application state.
Review, verify, and process applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and in compliance with MIPI Alliance policies.
Create member records and generate dues invoices through the QBO accounting system.
Follow up on outstanding dues invoices in accordance with program financial policies.
Manage onboarding of new members, including sending welcome messages to and new member orientation materials.
Membership Renewals:
Support the Membership Manager with renewal campaign administration, including sending follow-up communications on outstanding dues invoices in accordance with organization policies.
Manage database updates to company profiles.
Process supplier vendor forms and create accounts on member supplier portals as required.
Maintain the renewal scorecard.
Customer Service:
Provide prompt, courteous responses to member and prospective member inquiries, escalating more complex or technical inquiries to appropriate team members as needed.
Coordinate with vendors to assist in setting up vendor accounts.
Database Management:
Update and maintain membership databases and scorecards to reflect new applications, terminations, suspensions, and any changes in membership information.
Update individual user accounts within the membership database as required, including activation and deactivation, and ensuring account accuracy and security.
Accounts Receivable & Financial Support:
Work with the Finance team on any accounting actions pertaining to membership invoices such as invoice adjustments or write-offs.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, non-profit management, or related field preferred.
Experience: Three to five years experience in customer service, data entry, or administrative roles. Previous experience working with membership organizations is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with membership databases or CRM systems is a plus.
Soft skills:
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with the MIPI team and stakeholders.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
