Salary Details:
Salary commensurate with experience. The salary band for this position is $45,000 - $75,000/year.

The Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society (NFFS) is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate senior-level staff member to join our professional team. Our most successful team members have previous experience in working with 501(c)6 trade associations or within the foundry and machining industries. We are seeking a driven Director of Membership and Communications to assist with the overall management of the Society and its membership. In this role, you will help lead efforts to grow and maintain Society membership while ensuring consistent, strong and ongoing engagement within the nonferrous foundry industry. This role oversees all aspects of our communications strategy, including managing digital platforms, producing high-quality publications, and promoting NFFS programs, events, and services. You will play a critical role in shaping the Society’s brand and image while ensuring consistent, impactful messaging to members and other industry stakeholders.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Strong written/verbal English communication skills required
Excellent technology skills with the ability to learn new tools and platforms
Proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office products required
Experience with NOVI Association Management Software or other AMS is highly desirable
Experience with web design and knowledge of HTML is highly desirable
Experience with MailChimp is highly desirable
Experience with Adobe InDesign and other Creative Cloud products is a plus
Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus
Experience with Rasa.io is a plus
The ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams (committees) with multiple stakeholders including public, private and governmental entities is required;
The proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers, customers and other stakeholders is required;
Experience working with trade associations or other not-for-profit organizations is a significant plus.
Assigned duties: (Responsibilities)
Management of our communications calendar and publications
52 weekly E-newsletters/year
Monthly Economic Reports and Industry Forecasts
Annual Regulatory Compliance Calendar
Email communications to members and general industry as required
Social media communications, including Facebook and LinkedIn
Management of Society website and contact databases
Management of Society branding and marketing efforts
Promotion of Society meetings, events, programs and services to industry/members
Assist in the planning and conduct of Society meetings and events
Manage Society expositions at trade shows and events
Membership dues management, including invoicing and income recognition
Accounts Receivable Management
Assist with new member onboarding process
Effective management and response to member/industry contact requests
Generate required operational reports as required
Provide regular written and verbal reports to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors as required
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director in support of the Society’s mission
The Non-Ferrous Founders' Society (NFFS) is the premier North American trade association for the non-ferrous metal casting industry. NFFS is a proven resource for information and services vital for effective non-ferrous foundry management. Our members are non-ferrous foundries, ingot manufacturers, and industry suppliers who are industry leaders committed to manufacturing superior products and providing exceptional customer service. NFFS member foundries utilize virtually every casting process. The principal metals cast in non-ferrous foundries are aluminum and copper alloys (brass & bronze). However, some non-ferrous foundries may also pour magnesium, zinc, and other non-ferrous materials.
