Summary of Position
The Technical Events Manager is a remote role reporting to the Vice President, Information Technology and is primarily responsible for supporting AMIA’s education and meetings team in delivering technology solutions for live education events. This position emphasizes expertise in Salesforce and Fonteva Events, enabling the effective management of event data, participant engagement, and seamless process workflows tailored to AMIA's standards. The Technical Events Manager will work closely with AMIA's Database Manager to ensure alignment with AMIA’s data governance policies and maintain data integrity across event platforms.
Based on the duties described below, this is a full-time, exempt, fully remote position. This position reports to the Vice President, Information Technology.

Nature and Scope
The Technical Events Manager serves as a technical partner to the education team, ensuring that event-related technologies are effectively implemented and aligned with AMIA’s strategic goals. The role involves managing the technical infrastructure for virtual and hybrid events, defining and documenting processes, and delivering solutions that meet AMIA’s compliance and data governance standards.
Principle Accountabilities
Primary ownership of event registration process comprised of both online and on-site elements such as mobile app and event badge printers.
Salesforce and Fonteva Events Management: Leverage expertise in Salesforce and Fonteva Events to manage and configure event data, enhance participant experience, and align processes with AMIA’s organizational requirements.
Business Analysis and Process Documentation: Define, document, and refine event processes to support AMIA’s education team and ensure compliance with data governance policies. Collaborate with the Database Manager to uphold data consistency and integrity across systems.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze engagement data, such as app usage and survey responses.
Vendor and Integration Management: Manage vendor relationships, handle API integrations, and troubleshoot external tools to ensure seamless technical operation for all event stakeholders.
On Site Coordination and Support: Support onsite registration activities at AMIA events.

Qualifications:
Education – College degree in a related field or technical experience
Knowledge – 2+ years of Salesforce data management experience
Work Experience – 3+ years of technical experience in a membership organization working with associate management systems for event registration.
General Skills - Strong analytical skills with experience in business analysis, process documentation, and data analysis
Technical Skills – Proficiency in MS Office Suite required. Demonstrate experience in Salesforce and Fonteva Events platform.
Conditions - Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team setting. This position requires up to 25 days of travel annually.
