This position is responsible for event management, including working with hotel properties, members, and TFI staff to ensure meetings are successful: both profitable for the organization and valuable experiences for attendees. A high level of collaboration with all team members of TFI to accomplish organizational objectives is necessary.

• Responsible for the development, planning, organizing, management, administration, profitability, and effectiveness of TFI events, including but not limited to: o Annual Business Conference o Agronomy Conference and Expo o World Fertilizer Conference o Market & Logistics Conference o Ford West Leadership Academy o FERT Foundation Golf Tournaments o any other events or programs that TFI manages. • Evaluate and assist in the design, implementation and execution of potential new meetings. • Develop goals and action plans for event planning. • Execute the event planning logistics and program development tasks related to the association’s events including coordination with the hotel and other vendors for: AV, food and beverage, meeting room set up/layout • Negotiate and monitor service contracts meeting/event vendors (onsite photographers, av providers, tradeshow decorators, entertainment • Work with all team members involved in the event to ensure their deliverables are timely • In partnership with the Marketing Team, develop signage, conference mobile app, onsite branding, and other communications for each event. • Manage speaker and educational programming logistics, including booking housing, collecting PowerPoint presentations, speaker agreements, etc. • Coordinate all events onsite and schedule, supervise and support onsite staff • Conduct evaluations and debriefs of all in-person events and compile recommendations to improve conferences • Maintain historical records of TFI events including hotel room pickup and attendance numbers. • Work with the Senior Director of Member Programs to create budget goals for event related expenses and provide timely reporting on budget targets to supervisor • Conduct site visits for future events and coordinate site inspections when applicable.
