Summary
This position is responsible for the design, development and management of programming, events and convenings for NAB Technology and PILOT-related projects and initiatives. The VP of Technology Programming and Education also works with the broader NAB team on strategic development and implementation of technology education and outreach initiatives.
Essential Functions
Lead the strategic design, development and management of technology education and outreach events.
Oversee the overall technology content strategy for NAB Show, NAB Show New York and other NAB conferences to ensure that strategy ties to association goals. This includes the Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference, Futures Park, NAB Futures, and the potential development of new tracks or conferences.
Develop and manage relationships with external organizations and partners to deliver successful and enriching experiences. Example partner organizations include SBE, SMPTE, NABA, SCTE, and IEEE-BTS.
Collaborate with SVP Emerging Technology on planning and executing programming and content for convenings of broadcasters and other collaborators participating in PILOT. This includes working with NAB business development teams and commercial partners on the development of sponsored projects and programs that effectively complement the overall technology education strategy and PILOT revenue goals.
Work across NAB departments to determine the needs for technology education and how the Technology Department can best assist.
Research and understand issues related to broadcasting, digital production and distribution, multi-platform media consumption, and other relevant technologies to create ways to better educate NAB members.

Required Education and Experience
4-year degree required with 10 + years of related experience.
Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be flexible and work well in a pressure-filled environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Preferred Education and Experience
Event planning experience
Knowledge or experience in digital media or broadcast technology
Experience developing and managing educational programs
Work Location and Schedule
Availability to work hybrid work schedule which includes at least three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) in the Washington D.C. office. Ability to travel domestically up to 15% of the time.
