JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President, Learning Experiences will own the operational strategy, delivery and execution of knowledge and education value to members. Directs and manages all areas of IAEE education and program content development for continuing education.
DUTIES: • Identifies and recommends subjects and topics for the association’s educational and professional development programs based on analyses of needs assessments, discussion, and interaction with appropriate committees. • Leads the CEM Learning Program (Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation. • Leads the development of new CEM licensees worldwide and maintains current relationships with licensees. • Develops the budget for educational programs and projects. • Responsible for P&L on educational programs and projects. • Develops format, content, and curriculum outlines for association workshops, seminars, video training programs, and other professional development offerings. • Oversees content within association's LMS and help maintain the integrity of information shared on the platform. • Oversees processes related to various committees assigned to the department. • Manages sponsor relationships for educational and programs. • Gathers relevant historical data on speakers and education programs ( such as the number of attendees at sessions, rating of speakers, etc.) to offer insights into potential areas of growth and enhancement. • Collaborates with the marketing department on all promotional communications for educational programs. • Oversees all aspects of women’s initiatives including training and online community boards. • Directs and manages updates to the Art of the Show Textbook. • Assists with managing reciprocity agreements related to all education activities. • Serves as staff liaison and support staff for committees, commissions, and other entities as directed and as appropriate on a project basis. • Manages the Education Department, providing leadership, guidance, and support to the team to ensure efficient operations and the achievement of departmental goals. • Identifies opportunities and collaborates with colleagues to enhance educational offerings to members and customers. • Identifies gaps in the association's educational offerings and contributes to the development of relevant content and programs to enhance member experience. • Presents on behalf of the association at various industry events. • Other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS OF INCUMBENT: Education: • B.A. Degree in Education / Masters Preferred. Years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: • Five to 10 years of experience in administration, developing program content for educational programs using adult learning principles. • Proven communication skills, both oral and written, and excellent organizational abilities desired.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Requires an elevated level of planning and organizational skills; time management discipline; office procedures; correspondence forms; competency in communication skills and computer literacy. • Creative in approach, ensuring that learning experiences are of the highest quality. • Excellent writing skills
