The Woodwork Institute (WI), a non-profit 501(c)(6) national organization whose primary purpose is to ensure excellence and craftsmanship in woodwork through certification and standards setting, seeks an Executive Director (ED). The ED reports to a five-member Executive Committee and an eleven-member Board of Directors and manages ten to twelve individual staff and occasional consultants. Manages an annual budget of approximately mid-seven figures.  Key duties include working in collaboration with the WI Board, Architectural Wood Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC), staff, specification writers, architects, and building owners to engage in activities resulting in our vision of significant growth in the use and compliance with our Standards (NAAWS). The ideal candidate has a successful record of nonprofit management and/or equivalent experience. Position is based in Sacramento and relocation will be required.
