Work Environment and Compensation
This is full time position. CRAFT uses a hybrid of office-based and remote work environment.
CRAFT offers an Infant in the Workplace policy for its staff, holidays and paid time off, 401k retirement program, performance bonus, and other benefits. Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate client events. Occasional travel will be required.

Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction to multiple associations, and lead the CRAFT client work teams. CRAFT Account Executives (“AE”) focus on board and volunteer support, strategic planning, financial management, program development, and event planning and execution. The AE, following the direction set by the client’s board, ensures that all goals and objectives are met, and keeps the client’s members well-informed of the association’s activities. In addition, the AE makes sure all projects stay on schedule and the appropriate staff is in place to provide excellent client experience.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of Executive Director of a Trade Association or Non-profit organization.
Able to develop and sustain high-functioning management teams in a hybrid work environment.
Proven experience in executive leadership in planning a variety of events from small meetings to multi-day conferences.
Must be excellent at multitasking with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree is required, and the CAE designation is preferred.

Client Related
I. Board Governance
o Assures that the Board and appropriate committees are kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the association, and on all important factors influencing the association
o Participates in meetings of the Board and its committees, as appropriate.
o Assists the Board in the development and execution of the association’s strategic plan
o Plans, formulates, and recommends, for the approval of the Board, policies and programs which will further the objectives of the association
o Executes all decisions of the Board
o Provides staff support to client committees to enable them to function effectively
o Maintains minutes of the Board and other meetings of the association
o Provide security and appropriate confidentiality for all files, legal and historic documents, membership, and other databases
II. Administration
o Develops day-to-day administrative policies, procedures, and programs to support and implement directives from the Board and committees
o Leads CRAFT client team to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate communications and business operations including electronic communications, websites, database management, contractual obligations, and recordkeeping
o Negotiates and executes client contracts and commitments
o Maintains thorough communication with the Board, committees and members regarding association activities and projects
o Develops timelines and work plans for programs, services, and projects
o Understands and consistently meets or exceeds deadlines
III. Membership, Programs & Events
o Promotes interest and active participation in the association’s activities and reports to the Board as appropriate
o Oversees the marketing and communication for association’s members, meetings, events, and publications
o Oversees the planning and administration of all meetings of the association
o Oversees the planning, organizing, and directing of all membership matters and sponsorships
o Evaluates results and recommends improvement actions to achieve goals
IV. Financial Responsibilities
o Works with CRAFT Financial Services Manager to handle client funds professionally, and record information accurately and timely
o Ensures programs and projects meet the financial goals set by the Board
V. Volunteer Management
o Works with committees and staff to help ensure project goals are met
o Orients client volunteers to increase their understanding of the organization, its members, and its services
o Recommends and/or provides appropriate training for volunteer leaders to be successful in their positions
