This position involves performing basic accounting tasks under supervision, including data entry, maintaining financial records, reconciling bank statements, preparing journal entries, assisting with accounts payable and receivable processes, and supporting the month-end and year-end close process, while learning foundational accounting principles and practices.
KeyResponsibilities
Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger.
Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions.
Accounts Payable/Receivable Support: Assist with processing invoices, customer payments, and related tasks.
Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in compiling and preparing financial statements under supervision.
Compliance Support: Assist with ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.
Reporting: Assist in preparing basic financial reports as needed.
Audit Assistance: Provide support during internal and external audit processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures
