Position Overview:
NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association based in Herndon, Virginia, is seeking a Senior Membership Manager. The Senior Membership Manager is responsible for oversight of membership recruitment, retention, database integrity, data analytics, and internal department activities. The Senior Manager ensures that a sound system of processes and controls is implemented to maintain the integrity of the association’s membership database and membership-related functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all activities related to membership engagement and retention initiatives.
Develop an annual retention schedule and execute renewal and new member outreach initiatives creating strategies to increase member participation and managing existing engagement/retention programs. Develop new membership-related retention and new member strategies that increase membership.
Collaborate with the VP, Membership and Chapter Relations, and marketing and communication team to develop membership campaigns, messaging, and promotional materials.
Oversee all aspects of member communications and services, ensuring a high-quality member experience.
Analyze and interpret membership trends and data to guide decision-making and forecast goals.
Develop regular reports on membership metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Recommend and prioritize improvements to membership processes and performance related to the membership database.
Ensure data cleanliness (de-duping, merging records, updating fields) and data accuracy.
Create and maintain key membership and chapter reports that provide useful and timely data.
Create dashboards for leadership and board presentations.
Work with the Chapter Relations Manager to update membership applications and ensure they reflect the current dues rate for each chapter.
Assist in the research and development of programs, products and services benefiting volunteer leadership and management in the chapter network.
Build and maintain positive relationships with chapters and their volunteer leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years’ experience and proven successes working with association management systems and providing database solutions in a membership organization.
3+ years of experience and success in providing data analytics and reporting.
High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office with a proficiency MS Excel.
Proficiency with Protech or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
Experience with PowerBI is a plus
Demonstrated success in developing and executing membership strategies that drive growth and retention.
Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
