Summary
The Director, Data Management manages the operations of our Microsoft Dynamics based CRM and data related organizational priorities. Manages database integrations and solution design, database programming, maintenance of systems, in addition to reporting and dashboards. Contributes to the data strategy and coordinates with external vendors for alignment. Oversees implementation and maintenance of data repository.
Essential Functions
Operationalizes the data strategy and governance with focus on:
Data Integrations
Data Repository
Dashboards and Analytics
Supervise data management staff
Oversee data platform operations
Ensure compliance with data regulations
Manage data-related projects
Provide analytics support to departments
Maintain data documentation
Evaluate and select data tools
Coordinate with IT on infrastructure
Staff Expectations
Upholds and fosters staff values
Complies with all APTA policies and procedures
Performs other duties as needed to foster achievement of the unit, department, team, and association priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science or related field.
7-10 years of experience in Data Management, Information Systems and Analytics
At least 5 years of management/leadership experience
CDMP certification preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
SQL Server, MySQL
Power BI, Tableau
Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Protech
Data Governance Tools
Data Warehousing and ETL Tools – Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, SSIS
Project management skills a plus
Effective professional communication (written, presentation and verbal)
Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects or tasks
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Travel Requirements
Up to 10% - Local
