The Roofing Alliance is the philanthropic and research foundation of the roofing industry and the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). The Roofing Alliance is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Advancement. This role is pivotal in securing funding, expanding membership, driving sales, and fostering collaborations with Roofing Alliance members, industry partners, external stakeholders, and academia to enhance the organization’s reach and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Industry Engagement
Identify and cultivate prospective members to increase the Roofing Alliance’s membership base.
Develop and execute strategies to reach new and engage current members.
Build relationships with industry leaders, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate the value of the Roofing Alliance.
Secure funding and financial support for the Center for Roofing Innovation and Leadership ensuring its long-term sustainability and growth.
Develop and promote planned giving opportunities, including bequests, charitable trusts, and endowments.
Sales and Promotion—Professional Development Courses
Lead marketing and outreach efforts to increase enrollment in the Roofing Alliance’s Clemson University online courses and oversee contract sales position.
Develop relationships with contractors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to drive course participation.
Track and report on course sales and engagement trends.
Grant Fulfillment and Partnerships
Work closely with Clemson University faculty to identify and pursue grant opportunities that support roofing industry research and workforce initiatives.
Assist in submitting and managing grant proposals, ensuring alignment with Roofing Alliance priorities.
Track grant application progress and coordinate reporting requirements.
What You’ll Bring to the Job:
7 – 10 years of proven experience in donor relations, business development, sales, fundraising, or a related field.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to design strategic fundraising campaigns and marketing collateral.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to craft compelling member communications and presentations.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, academic partners, and funding organizations.
Experience in grant writing and familiarity with research funding processes is a plus.
