We are seeking a visionary Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead our revenue strategy and drive sustainable financial success.
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be responsible for developing and executing ASME’s revenue strategy, ensuring long-term financial sustainability, and leading growth initiatives across the organization. As a key member of the Executive Team, the CRO will oversee revenue-generating business units and align cross-functional efforts to accelerate sales performance, diversify revenue streams, and enhance customer satisfaction.
The CRO will lead and integrate revenue-generating functions including Learning & Development/Membership, Publishing, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience. This executive will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive, multi-channel revenue growth strategy that aligns with organizational goals and market opportunities.
The CRO will build and mentor high-performing, customer-focused teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. They will work cross-functionally to optimize pricing strategies, contract structures, financial models, and marketing initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include setting and achieving ambitious revenue targets and KPIs, analyzing market trends and customer insights to identify new opportunities, and ensuring data-driven decision-making across all revenue functions. The CRO will also represent ASME at key industry events and with strategic partners, ensuring that customer feedback directly informs product development and service enhancements.
This position requires a minimum of 15 years’ experience in revenue management, business development, or strategic growth roles. A master’s degree in business administration, or related field or additional equivalent experience is needed. Qualified candidates will have a strong track record of driving substantial revenue growth in fast-paced, evolving environments. Proficiency with Salesforce and other business productivity tools is essential.
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of skills is needed, including:

History of successfully leading a performance-and-outcomes-based organization including setting and achieving strategic goals

Ability to communicate complex concepts in an effective manner to a wide variety of audiences

Experience coaching, managing, and developing highly collaborative/high performance teams.
Ability to recruit, train, and mentor the next generation of ASME business leaders.

Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple business units via remote workforce.
Ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders on project prioritization and adoption strategies.
This role is eligible for remote work arrangement. Periodic business travel will be required, including but not limited to ASME Offices which are currently located in NYC (headquarters), NJ, DC, TX.

Annual base salary may vary based on geographic location. The New York City Metro and Washington DC salary range for this position is estimated to be between $350,000 - $450,000 per year.
