Position: Director, Tradeshow Services (NPE)

Reports To: Executive Director, NPE

Location: Washington, DC/Hybrid

Come join the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), an organization representing the nation’s nearly one million workers in the plastics industry.  They are seeking a Director of Tradeshow Services (NPE) to play a pivotal role in enhancing the exhibitor and attendee experience.  This position is hybrid, requiring three days in the office each week.

As the Director of Tradeshow Services (NPE), you will execute strategic initiatives and serve as a primary point of contact for NPE exhibitors, attendees, and committees related to trade show services.  You will direct and manage show services such as transportation, registration, catering & concessions, floral and the development of the space application & the exhibitor resource center.  You will also coordinate with contractors to ensure operational efficiency and maintain accurate event schedules and promotional materials, in addition to providing onsite support during NPE.  This position reports to the Executive Director of NPE.

Qualified candidates offer:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in a related position in a trade show convention or event management
• Experience with large shows (over 200,000 sq feet and with at least 10,000 attendees) or working on multiple larger shows
• Experience with project and program management
• Experience with event management platforms
• Trade association experience preferred

Salary Range: $92,000 - $127,000
