As the Webmaster, you will work closely with the Director, Marketing & Communications and staff to bring the SIIM marketing vision to life through digital communication platforms (website + email). You will be responsible for website management, creating microsites, and assisting in the execution of email marketing campaigns, all while ensuring brand tone and style consistency.
Responsibilities
Regularly update and maintain website content, including text, images, graphics, videos, and other multimedia elements.
Build microsites, and implement website changes, improvements, and new features on the website. When necessary, collaborate with a web design agency, create a project plan, maintain regular communication, and resolve issues proactively.
Successfully update Annual Meeting microsite with branding and content including text, images, graphics, videos, and other multimedia elements.
Ensure that content on website is accurate, up-to-date, consistent in tone and style, and aligned with SIIM's brand, style guide, and messaging across all digital platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve website functionality, user interface, and user experience issues.
Implement SEO best practices to improve the website's visibility and search engine rankings.
Conduct keyword research and integrate relevant keywords into website content for improved organic search results.
Monitor website analytics to identify areas for improvement, track the success of social media campaigns, and make data-driven decisions to enhance website performance.
Implement and maintain website security protocols to safeguard against potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Update Annual Meeting App with branding, graphics and content.
Work with the Director of Marketing to execute email marketing campaigns aligned with the overall marketing strategy, incorporating text, images, graphics, videos, and multimedia elements.
Ensure email templates and designs are consistent with the brand's identity.
Manage and segment email subscriber lists to deliver targeted content to different audience segments.
Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) in all web-related and email activities.
Serve as a liaison for assigned committees.
Occasionally assist with in-house video, photography and social media, especially around the Annual Meeting.
Manage SIIM’s YouTube account by uploading and deleting videos to keep the channel up to date.
Education and Experience
College degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of progressive Webmaster experience
Combination of experience can substitute for a college degree

Technical Skills: Required
WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO best practices
Proficient in editing/proofing digital content
Preferred:
Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro
Experience with CMS and other Web tools (e.g., social media, FTP)
Responsive Design, Bootstrap, SQL, and other web development technologies
Knowledge of Tag Manager
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
May be required to work weekends and/or nights
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Ability to lift up and move objects up to 10 pounds
