Who We Are:
InGenius Prep was founded in 2013 by law students at Harvard and Yale. In that time, the company has grown to a team of more than 320 employees, 600 part-time employees, as well as locations in 15 countries. 

Our primary focus is assisting students in applying to U.S. Colleges and Graduate schools. Our company is fast-paced and exciting. We operate as a team, and everyone is given opportunities to advance in the organization. 

How You’ll Help:
We are looking for counselors to work with students applying to programs in your area of expertise. You will work directly with students, helping them with school/program selections, applications, and extracurricular profiles. The opportunity for growth in this position will be determined by the counselor’s individual strengths and weaknesses.

There are three different types of counselors we are hiring for: 

- Counselors who work with students applying to colleges 

- Counselors who work with students applying to graduate programs. 

- Counselors who have prior admissions experience at the college or graduate school level (internal title: Former Admissions Officer or "FAO"). 

We are primarily searching for part-time roles currently, though selected candidates will generally have the option to increase to full-time in the future!

What You’ll Do:

• 1-on-1 counseling with applicants to build their extra-curricular profiles and applications;
• Meet remotely with students;
• Edit essays and provide feedback to foster students’ independent writing skills;
• Provide comprehensive support to students as they prepare their applications;
• Generate creative and practical professional experience and projects for students’ extracurricular activities;
• Maintain a caseload of anywhere from 0-15 students, depending on your availability.

Location: Remote 

Compensation: Varies significantly depending on credentials, prior experience, and desired volume of students. Please inquire. 

You’ll Be a Good Fit If You Have:

• Excellent educational credentials 
  • Graduate degrees are a bonus but not strictly required 
• College counseling or admissions counseling experience
• Great writing skills 
• Admissions experience (at the undergraduate or graduate level) is a big bonus but not required. 
• Phenomenal writing skills.
