Position Purpose
The Online Learning Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing AACE’s online education strategies. This position will ensure that all online educational products meet ACCME, ANCC, and ABIM MOC accreditation standards, while utilizing adult learning principles and innovative technologies. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, manage education teams, and ensure that AACE’s online education offerings meet the needs of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Online Education Development: Lead the design and implementation of online education programs using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise), video conferencing, and other digital tools.
Program Management: Manage the Online + Skills Certificate Programs, working closely with committees and staff to ensure the successful planning, development, and delivery of online educational content.
Abstract Program Support: Coordinate abstract submissions and the management of e-posters, oral abstracts, and e-publications for the Annual Meeting.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with AACE departments (membership, marketing, meetings, IT, finance) to ensure educational activities meet organizational objectives.
Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure compliance with ACCME, ANCC, and ABIM MOC guidelines and assist in preparing materials for reaccreditation.
Data Evaluation & Reporting: Design surveys, evaluate program outcomes, and provide reports on educational effectiveness and participant satisfaction.
Vendor Coordination: Interface with external vendors to manage project timelines, services, and system functionality.
Faculty & Committee Support: Coordinate communications, workflows, and deliverables for faculty, committees, and project teams.
General Responsibilities: Participate in conference calls, support live activity teams, and assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed. This position will require occasional evening or weekend work to attend committee meetings, as well as limited travel a few times per year to support program initiatives and deadlines.
Who you are
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution is required. At least 3 years of experience in developing online education programs, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role leading small teams or overseeing projects.
Industry Experience: Prior experience working within medical associations, medical education, or healthcare is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: You are proficient in Association Management Systems, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, Learning Management Systems, and e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise. Experience with Oasis is a plus.
Leadership & Project Management: You have a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are key to your approach.
Collaboration & Communication: You possess excellent interpersonal skills and can effectively collaborate with diverse teams and external partners.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ACCME continuing medical education standards and accreditation processes is preferred.
