The Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), a professional state association located in Richmond, Va., is currently seeking a member engagement manager with 5+ years of professional experience. This individual is responsible for managing and executing member engagement efforts, including volunteer programs, networking and other events, leadership initiatives and online community engagement. The ideal candidate will drive participation, foster relationships and enhance member experiences to support the organization’s strategic goals. This position is an essential part of the VSCPA’s membership team that supports our mission to help our nearly 12,000+ members thrive. Reports to our Membership Development Director. We offer a hybrid work environment and will consider remote candidates outside the Richmond area that live in Virginia.
About the Role
Drive member engagement by managing and administrating member engagement programming to meet strategic goals.
Plan and execute member events both in-person and virtually, including Town Halls, networking events, peer groups and leadership development programs like the annual Leaders’ Summit conference.
Manage and implement the volunteer program, overseeing year-round recruitment, appointments and recognition to strengthen member involvement.
Serve as the primary liaison for VSCPA chapters, the Young Professionals Advisory Council and the peer networking groups to foster connections and engagement.
Manages, implements and drives engagement for the VSCPA online member community.
Manages the VSCPA Career Center to enhance career resources and meet revenue goals.
Strengthen relationships with current and prospective members and their employers, track engagement metrics, and align budgets with strategic objectives.

You have a bachelor’s degree along with 5+ years professional experience; association/nonprofit experience and Certified Association Executive certification a plus.
