The Senior Director of Membership plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the National PACE Association by developing a strategic plan for membership growth. The Senior Director leads the creation and execution of both short- and long-term strategies for expanding NPA membership, with an emphasis on reaching and supporting a more diverse member base that aligns with the evolution of PACE. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Communications and Member Engagement, the Senior Director leads member engagement, satisfaction, and the overall member experience.
Position Responsibilities

Develops a membership strategy in alignment with the division and organization’s strategic objectives.
Provide detailed membership reports and analysis, including statistics, updates, growth tracking, and retention insights to the Senior Leadership Team, CEO, and Board of Directors.
Identify and advocate for improvements to the member value proposition, to ensure NPA membership remains relevant and valuable to a diverse and growing audience.
Cultivate long-term strategic relationships with industry alliances to create opportunities for membership expansion and collaboration.
Create and implement innovative membership programs that target a broader range of potential members.
Get to know and deeply understand our members and their needs to develop effective and data-driven strategies for member recruitment, engagement, retention, and success, drawing upon best practices and research from the field of member engagement to ensure a deep sense of belonging and loyalty.
Iterate and develop strategies to raise the organization’s visibility, grow the membership pipeline, and utilize communication, marketing, and messaging strategies that resonate with members and prospects.
Manage the membership team which includes the Director, Membership and the AMS Database Administrator.

Full-time, exempt position with competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Education
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience and or training.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Working Conditions
Flexible, fully remote work arrangement, including telework, offered; proximity to Washington, D.C. area preferred. Small, fast paced team environment with moderate noise levels. Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment. Use of phones and computers for extended periods of time. Utilize office equipment and communication technologies for conference calls and teleconference meetings/webinars.
