When you join AMT as our Governance & Professional Affairs Manager you are managing the programs and activities that advance our members’ interests. Working directly with our Executive Director, you will support organizational strategic initiatives, represent AMT with industry partners and coalitions, and champion member engagement and career development.

Your role will be focused in three key areas and some of the responsibilities will include:

• Governance & Executive Office
  • Manage ongoing activities related to AMT’s Board of Directors (BOD), State Society & District Council Leaders, and assigned governance committees.
    • Includes scheduling, agenda preparation, materials distribution, etc.
  • Oversee delegate selection and credentialing process, including related communications.
  • Serve as liaison between BOD, Member Leaders, Committees, and Senior Staff.
• Regulatory Affairs & Industry Relations
  • Track and act on State & Federal Regulations and participate in thought-leader industry coalitions to ensure the AMT brand is promoted, accepted, and valued.
  • Cross-Functional coordination across AMT departments to ensure nationwide acceptance and visibility of our certifications.
  • Represent AMT at various professional organizational meetings and industry related forums.
• Membership
  • Lead the charge for member engagement and career development.
  • Maintain knowledge of professional career ladders and scope of practice
  • Monitor membership statistics and coordinate activities with other departments to facilitate member retention and growth

What AMT needs from you:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Bachelor’s Preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in Association Management
• Experience working with governance or regulatory matters is required
• Experience working with state chapters or member relations is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit ethical behavior is required
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including SharePoint and Teams.
• Strong project management and multitasking skills
• Experience in a Healthcare, Education, or Credentialing Association preferred
• Ability to travel up to 15%
• Residence in of the following states: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, or Texas
