Maybe this is why more than 80 percent of U.S. households own an outdoor grill, barbecue, or smoker, and more than 50 percent have at least one fireplace or freestanding stove (hearth products). Grilling is an integral part of how Americans celebrate national holidays like Independence Day, Labor Day, and even Thanksgiving, and we all have warm memories of sitting with family and friends around a fire.
The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association serves industries central to our lives. Fireplaces, barbecue grills and accessories, and outdoor living are the centerpieces of our family gatherings and memories with friends. Over 80% of households have a barbecue grill. We’re looking for an exceptional Sales Associate to join our team.

You excel in using LinkedIn and online tools to research, qualify leads, and identify opportunities. You are resourceful and methodical, ensuring every lead is prioritized, tracked, and pursued with diligence.
You thrive on leveraging data to refine your strategy, track progress, and measure success. Metrics are not just numbers to you—they're insights that fuel your success.
You are an expert at working remotely with a dedicated workspace, free of distractions and competing obligations. We are a BYODevice work environment.
Minimum 5-10 years stellar track record and professional experience in a membership organization with knowledge of pricing strategy, selling a variety of sponsorships, advertising, and memberships. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Available for weekly in-person meetings in the DVM area.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in using MS Office, CRM software (Salesforce experience preferred), and marketing automation tools.
Familiarity with subscription membership models instead of renewal models (preferred).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
80% sales/20% administrative (includes reporting, tracking, and database)
Travel 10-20%

The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA), based just outside of Washington, DC, is the North American industry association for manufacturers, retailers, distributors, representatives, service firms, and allied associates for all types of fireplace, stove, heater, barbecue, and outdoor living appliances and accessories. HPBA provides professional member services and industry support in government relations, events, market research, education, certifications, consumer education, and industry promotion.
