The Opportunity The Executive Director (Chief Staff Executive) is the senior staff leader of GSAE and the GSAE Foundation, responsible for both the strategic direction and the operational excellence of the organization. This is a hands-on leadership role: the person will envision, plan, and execute strategic initiatives, manage programs and relationships, and handle essential administrative and fiscal responsibilities. Because of the lean staff structure, the Executive Director must be willing and able to personally perform day-to-day operational tasks while prioritizing long-term goals.

What You’ll Do
Lead strategy, represent GSAE across Georgia and nationally, and serve as the organization’s public face.
Build strong relationships with members, suppliers, vendors, sponsors, and partners.
Design and deliver high-quality programs: Annual Meeting, Leadership Academy, workshops, SIGs, and publications.
Support the Board with governance, planning, and decision-making.
Manage staff, finances, contracts, and compliance.
GSAE is entering a period of growth: expanding membership, enhancing visibility, improving member experience, and leveraging technology.

Remote, based in Atlanta, GA - Some travel required

Who You Are
5+ years in association management; prior leadership experience required.
Supervisory and budgeting experience.
CAE credential or advanced degree strongly preferred (or willingness to pursue).
Entrepreneurial, innovative, financially astute, and tech-savvy.
Hands-on and adaptable: equally strategic and operational.
