The Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS^® (RVAR) is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization into its next chapter. This role oversees all aspects of RVAR’s operations, including its MLS, and serves more than 1,500 association members and 1,800 MLS subscribers in a vibrant and growing region of southwest Virginia.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, principled, and collaborative leader with a strong background in association management, strategic planning, and member engagement. They will foster innovation, professionalism, and inclusivity within the REALTOR^® community while building strong relationships across diverse constituencies.

Base salary: $125,000 – $145,000.

RVAR offers a robust benefits package, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan. A relocation package is available for the right candidate.

Top Skills & Experience:

• Executive leadership in associations, MLS, or brokerage (5+ years preferred)
• Innovative Strategist with financial, operational, and technological expertise
• Proven ability to lead staff and volunteers with integrity and dependability
• Sound judgment, decisiveness, initiative, and enthusiasm for member service
• Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Familiarity with NAR/MLS policies preferred. Certification as a NAR Professional Standards Administrator is also preferred, or demonstrated willingness to obtain certification
• RCE or CAE designations preferred but not required
• Willingness to travel
