Position Title: Membership and Chapter Relations Associate
Reports to: Vice President for Membership and Chapter Relations
Position Overview:
The Membership and Chapter Relations Associate serves as the association’s liaison to members, prospective members, and chapter representatives for a broad range of inquiries including membership information, general services requests, and chapter support. The Associate is responsible for providing a high-level customer service for member and non-member inquiries, processing membership transactions and applications, as well as data entry and records maintenance of members and prospects. The Associate also provides support for chapter relations functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact and a liaison for all incoming queries and requests related to membership benefits, applications, renewal, chapters, and general NAIOP information.
Responds daily to member inquiries received via phone, all Membership email inboxes, and NAIOP Connect.
Process membership applications, transfers, organization changes, and payments completely in a timely manner.
Enter and maintain accurate member and non-member records in the association’s membership database
Verify supporting documentation required for Student and Developing Leader memberships.
Conduct onboarding outreach to all new and first-year members through communications, NAIOP Connect, and surveys.
Conduct recruitment and retention campaigns for University Members and ensure fulfillment of member benefits.
Administer communications, invoices, and member records for chapters’ sponsorship programs.
Support the Student Scholarship program administration in the nominations and evaluation processes.
Support annual member recruitment and renewal initiatives including conferences campaigns.
Test and provide feedback on database processes, procedures and updates related to membership functions.
Assist in the collection and data entry of chapter related information to include, but not limited to, chapter leadership and chapter events.
Provide administrative support related to the execution of the annual Chapter Leadership and Legislative Retreat.
Serve as a member of the staff phone team to support the Association Services Associate in his/her absence.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior work experience in membership organization(s) or association, preferably in a member/customer services role
Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with a database or association management system; Protech experience is a plus
