Are you passionate about building connections, supporting leaders, and helping organizations grow? RIMS (the Risk and Insurance Management Society) is looking for a Chapter and Member Success Specialist to help strengthen our regional chapters and elevate the member experience.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to liaison between our national office and local chapters—offering resources, training, and guidance to help chapter leaders succeed. You’ll also be a key player in ensuring our members feel supported, engaged, and connected.
What You’ll Do
Chapter Services
Support chapter leaders with tools, resources, and training.
Keep chapter board rosters up to date and ensure accurate chapter directories.
Manage online chapter communities and help leaders maintain their web presence.
Moderate chapter webinars and provide onsite support at leadership events.
Collaborate with partners, vendors, and staff to keep chapter tools running smoothly.
Membership Support
Help members with questions and applications.
Review and approve membership eligibility, student transcripts, and resumes.
Partner with other departments to resolve member issues.
Data Management
Update membership invoices and profiles.
Generate reports and ensure data accuracy.
Work with IT to resolve technical issues with chapter membership data.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with CRM/database systems for membership and chapter data.
Familiarity with online community management tools.
Comfort with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).

Organizational & Time Management: Self-motivation and accountability in a remote work environment.
Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to providing a positive member experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Valuable, but Can Be Learned on the Job):
Technical & Creative Skills - Familiarity with chapter/association management software.
Industry Knowledge - Understanding of association or nonprofit chapter structures.
