Summary: Responsible for growing and sustaining philanthropic revenue from both corporations and individual donors to support the organization’s mission and strategic goals. Build long-term, meaningful relationships with donors at all levels-strengthening corporate partnerships, enhancing annual giving, and identifying pathways for major gifts. Manage all aspects of exposition planning and execution for Society meetings.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships
Serve as the primary relationship manager for sponsors. Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing partners.
Lead the creation and distribution of the annual corporate Collaborate with staff to design sponsorship opportunities that align with both corporate objectives and organizational priorities.
Proactively work with companies to identify and evaluate opportunities for engagement, assess their needs, and provide tailored opportunities to grow revenue.
Update and manage sales contracts and sponsorship agreements.
Design and maintain structured reporting systems to track sales performance.
In collaboration with leadership, develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for all events and society opportunities.
Maintain a detailed and up-to-date database of all industry.
Prepare and submit grant applications.
Partner with the Industry Relations Chair.
Exhibits and Events
Manage the promotion and sales of exhibit space at Society meetings.
Serve as primary liaison to exhibiting companies. Create exhibitor prospectus, handle exhibitor contracts, communications, service kits, registration, and invoicing.
Oversee all aspects of exposition planning and execution to include exhibit hall design, booth assignments, signage & branding, and onsite management in collaboration with venues and decorator.
Work with Industry Relations Chair and Society Corporate Partners in the creation of non-CME
Develop and distribute RFPs for meeting services, including security. Contribute to RFP and selection process for general service contractors and audio/visual partners.
Serve as primary liaison to the exhibits management system (i.e. eShow).
Handle shipping logistics, including creating supply lists, managing packing/unpacking, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate signage details for meetings.
Individual Giving
Serve as the primary relationship manager for all donors.
Oversee all aspects of annual giving, donor stewardship, and major gifts
Develop and manage donor engagement initiatives to increase retention, grow annual giving and build pathways for major gifts.
Manage all donor lifecycle activities, including acknowledgements, communications, and reporting.
Provide support to leadership and consultants with capital campaign planning and implementation.
Serve as staff liaison to development work group.
Travel: 10-15 days per year
Undergraduate degree
5-7 years experience in corporate partnerships, fundraising, development, and exhibit management.
Demonstrated success in securing corporate sponsorships, partnerships, or major gifts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, database management, and general web and email.
Familiarity with iMIS, CRM systems (i.e. eShow, Salesforce)
Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Must be detail oriented.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to anticipate and address challenges.
Self-motivated, creative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A cooperative, supportive, and “can do” attitude is crucial to Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
