Help Companies Stand Out in a Competitive Market
Are you a relationship-builder who understands what makes a marketing strategy succeed? NHA is looking for a savvy, consultative Account Manager to connect with 350+ companies supplying products and services to the water power industry—and help them meet their marketing, visibility, and growth goals.
This role is about delivering results, not just selling. You’ll work closely with businesses to understand their objectives and match them with high-value opportunities—exhibit space, sponsorships, membership, visibility on NHA’s media platform, and more. You’ll be their trusted guide in getting real return on their investment.
What You’ll Do
Be the main point of contact for ~350 product and service suppliers in the water power space
Build relationships with key decision-makers in marketing, sales, and business development
Offer tailored commercial solutions that help companies raise visibility and reach new customers
Close sales for NHA memberships, trade show exhibits, event sponsorships, and the POWERHOUSE media platform
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience from sale to delivery
Keep CRM systems up-to-date with accurate records, pipelines, and activity tracking
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or stakeholder engagement
A consultative, solutions-first mindset and a talent for building rapport
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Confidence managing multiple projects and timelines
Comfortable using CRM platforms and tracking systems
Bonus points for experience in trade associations, B2B marketing, or event sponsorship sales
Experience working in the water power industry is strongly preferred.
NHA is a national non-profit trade association dedicated exclusively to advancing the interests of the U.S. hydropower industry, including conventional, pumped storage, and new marine and hydrokinetic technologies. NHA’s membership consists of over 325 organizations, including consumer-owned utilities, investor-owned utilities, independent power producers, equipment manufacturers, environmental and engineering firms, and attorneys.
