POSITION DESCRIPTION
TEI (Tax Executives Institute, Inc.) is seeking a IT & Web Support Specialist to provide essential support across the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring staff have reliable access to systems and tools. This position emphasizes technical assistance, hardware/software troubleshooting, and support for hybrid and in-person events and data management in the organization's AMS (netForum). The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, adaptability, and a passion for problem-solving in dynamic environments.
IT Support (Primary Focus):
Deliver responsive desktop and application support (Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
Manage onboarding/offboarding of users including hardware configuration, device imaging, and account setup
Respond to and track help desk tickets, prioritizing according to organizational impact
Enhance helpdesk chatbot with Copilot Studio.
Maintain IT inventory, update system documentation, and coordinate with external vendors as needed
Troubleshoot and support networked peripheral and connectivity issues
Support Azure/Office365 tenant administration (Active Directory, Endpoint Manager, Exchange, Teams)
AMS & Data Management:
Support data integrity efforts in netForum, including cleanup, deduplication, and field mapping
Assist the database admin in generating reports, queries, and exports for internal stakeholders
Help document and streamline processes for system consistency and staff self-sufficiency
Collaborate on resolving integration issues across platforms (e.g., HubSpot, LMS)
Event Technology & On-Site Support:
Provide on-site and remote technical support for hybrid and in-person events.
Set up, configure, and monitor laptops, printers, and connectivity at venues
Serve as liaison between staff and venue IT contacts to ensure seamless execution
Assist in testing, deploying, and documenting event technology tools (e.g., Accelevents)
Web & Digital Support:
Support website updates and minor HTML edits as needed using CMS tools (netForum, Drupal)
Apply basic HTML/CSS to troubleshoot layout issues, adjust styling, and edit embedded components
Troubleshoot minor front-end issues and coordinate with vendors for larger escalations
Monitor website performance, security and assist with routine testing and updates
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
1–3 years’ experience in IT support in association technology environments
Experience with netForum or similar AMS platform strongly preferred
Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS for web edits and light troubleshooting
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, remote desktop support, and ticket management systems (e.g., Freshdesk)
Working knowledge of event platforms (e.g., Zoom, Accelevents or similar) and hybrid meeting technology
Working knowledge of Copilot Studio or similar AI platforms
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Ability to travel for scheduled in-person events
TRAVEL
About 5% - 10% (to attend TEI educational and networking events)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Base compensation is commensurate with experience

Annual performance-based bonus and salary increase
Hybrid work arrangement requiring two days/week in office
