Job Summary:
The Education Product Manager will support the strategic development, innovation and lifecycle of Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) educational and professional development products. This role is critical to understanding the evolving needs of OMA’s members and turning those insights into engaging, evidence-based learning solutions that fill critical knowledge gaps in obesity medicine. The successful candidate will bring a strategic, data-driven, and member-first approach to product innovation, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure new and existing products align with OMA’s mission and vision, as well as market trends and future workforce demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Product Leadership
Identify emerging trends, member needs, and educational gaps through research, surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder engagement.
Translate insights into product concepts, business cases, and strategic plans that meet both educational and organizational goals.
Build and maintain a multi-year product roadmap aligned with OMA’s education strategy and strategic plan.
Member-Centric Product Development
Define learning objectives, instructional strategies, and delivery modalities in collaboration with subject matter experts, ensuring evidence-based, inclusive content.
Oversee pilot testing, validation, and iterative improvement based on learner feedback and data analysis.
Market Research
Conduct market scans and learner persona development to guide segmentation, positioning, and pricing.
Gather and analyze usage data, learner feedback, and industry benchmarks to continuously refine products and demonstrate value and impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with marketing, membership, events, communications, and IT teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies, seamless user experiences, and product integration across platforms.
Collaborate with vendors, developers, and learning designers to ensure quality, accessibility, and innovation.
Brand Alignment & Messaging
Ensure consistency of OMA’s voice, values, and visual identity in all educational offerings.
Contribute to messaging strategies that effectively communicate the benefits of OMA’s educational portfolio to diverse audiences.
Continuous Innovation
Stay current on trends in education delivery, adult learning theory, technology-enhanced learning, and healthcare education.
Propose and test new product formats (e.g., microlearning, simulations, AI-driven content, on-demand modules) to enhance engagement and accessibility.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management, product development, market research, or a related role, ideally within an association or membership organization.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data for product and brand strategy.
Knowledge of brand management principles, including messaging and visual identity, and experience applying them in digital and print channels.
Proficiency in project management with the ability to oversee multiple products and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, especially in managing external vendors and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with association management systems (AMS) and learning management systems (LMS).
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Product Manager, Project Management Professional) are a plus.
