The Manager, Grant Programs & Impact is responsible for managing and evaluating the Foundation’s grantmaking portfolio, including Scholarships, Rose McGill Emergency Aid, Education Area Grants, grants to the Fraternity, and partnerships with philanthropic organizations. This role ensures donor contributions are used as intended and aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Grantmaking & Program Oversight
Administer and oversee:
Annual scholarship program (~$1.3M)
Rose McGill Emergency Relief Grants (~$300K)
Education Area Grants
Campaign Endowments for chapters and programs
Grants to the Fraternity
Serve as the Foundation’s subject matter expert for Fraternity-funded programs in education, leadership, and mental health and well-being.
Support philanthropic partnerships with designated mental health and well-being organizations in collaboration with the Fraternity.
Coordinate Foundation participation in Fraternity events, including:
Fraternity Leadership Institute (FLI)
Collegiate Leadership Summit (CLS)
Convention
Leadership Academy
Guide the use of endowed, designated, and current-use funds in accordance with donor intent.
Lead annual application, award, and stewardship processes for scholarships and fellowships in collaboration with volunteer committees and staff.
Volunteer and Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for all Foundation volunteers (excluding the Board of Trustees).
Serve as liaison to volunteer-led committees.
Cultivate strong working relationships with:
Fraternity staff
Foundation Board of Trustees
Volunteers, collegians, alumnae, and grant recipients
Program Impact & Evaluation
Design and execute annual program evaluations.
Collect, analyze, and report data on grant outcomes and impact.
Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to share impact stories via social media, newsletters, and donor reports.
Contribute to donor stewardship efforts by producing detailed impact and stewardship reports.
Training & Programming Grants
Administer and evaluate Training & Programming grants awarded to the Fraternity.
Monitor and report on chapter-level philanthropic efforts.
Partner with the volunteer Content Director for philanthropy to support and track Fraternity-wide initiatives.
Other Duties
Coordinate and participate in after-hours meetings and calls with members, volunteers, and partners.
Travel to Fraternity and Foundation events as required.
Represent the Foundation in Fraternity-led working groups and collaborative initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Nonprofit Management, Association Management, or related field).
Prior experience in grantmaking or the nonprofit sector preferred.
Passion for and commitment to the Foundation’s mission and its member community.
Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Office 365, and SharePoint.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with staff, leadership, and volunteers.
Ability to represent the Foundation professionally in external communications and public speaking engagements.
Membership in Kappa Kappa Gamma or another Greek-letter organization is preferred.
