The Association for Behavioral & Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) is seeking a Temporary Meeting Planner to join our team on a 10-month contract. This role is expected to last from September 1, 2025-June 30, 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Assists Director of Education and Meeting Services with daily tasks regarding 2026 11^th World Confederation of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies Congress to take place in San Francisco, June 25-28 and assist with planning duties for the 2025 ABCT Annual Convention, November 20-23 in New Orleans.
• Help schedule general session program (panels, symposia, clinical roundtables, workshops, oral presentations, posters). Organizes the best possible program layout while taking into account any conflicts.
• Data entry into Cadmium software that creates the convention website, itinerary planner and mobile app for attendees, creates signage for World Congress and coordinates posting attendee information and updates to the convention/congress webpage.
• Maintains charts of usage of sleeping rooms and meeting space, sleeping room rates, use of overflow hotels and VIP rooming list.
• Edits program for display on itinerary planner, program book PDF, and convention app, program book & program supplement– design, database pull, front matter, proofreading and assists with the creation of hotel specs including food and beverage and audio-visual requirements.
• Other duties may include but are not limited to event coordination, onsite logistics management, vendor management, post meeting reporting, stakeholder communications (staff, speakers, attendees, vendors, etc)
• This is a temporary consultant position involving business travel up to 2-3 times over the duration of the contract, for several days at a time. Primary work location is onsite at the ABCT offices in New York City.

Qualifications:

4-year college degree: Business or Hospitality Management

5 or more years’ experience planning large conferences or conventions with more than 3,500 attendees.

Logistics planning

Non-profit association experience.

CMP designation a plus.
